Can travel agents help out with cabin rentals?

I'm looking into using a travel agent to help out with a group vacation to Colorado or some other place to go snowboarding. We planned on staying in the same place so we are looking for a place that can squeeze at least 8 people. We don't have an official head count yet, but we are used to cramming into space.. anyways... We planned on using a cabin or possibly a lodge, whichever is cheapest so that it can be closest to the slopes.. do travel agents look at cabins? We are looking for the best available rate... Around $250/person not including car rental.. for about 5 days. What do you suggest??Can travel agents help out with cabin rentals?
Check out this website- VRBO.com (vacation rentals by private owners) It will show you map of USA and you click where you want to go and then it will show you websites from private owners that rent condos, cabins, cottages, houses, etc. They are privately owned so it will be cheaper than going through travel agent. I use this website all the time and have had good luck and good prices. I rented a condo at South carolina and called the resort and the price from private owner was half the price of what the resort was asking for. It is safe! Call a travel agent also and then compare your prices. GOOD LUCK!!!Can travel agents help out with cabin rentals?
I'm not sure about travel agents but here are a few sites that provide vacation home rentals, cabin rentals and cottage rentals from all over the United States. I advertise on these sites and find them to be very user friendly with lots of photos and area information:
